Description

YAY!!! I got a commission from :iconsuppa-rider:. Thanks mate!

Another rendition of Scott and Kira. I was so happy how this one turned out. I was recently asked by a few people about my OC and their origins. I felt I would put up a brief bio of my OC race for Star Wars. I don't expect anyone to waste their time on it, but I do enjoy my OCs so much that I'll post it anywho. :D

T'vian (OC race) hail from the thick nebulae in the Unknown Regions. The name of their homeworld is Tauh, orbiting a single giant orange star, with three moons that orbit the planet itself. The three moons reflect red, green, and blue light indicating very different compositions each.

Geography: Tauh's landscape is mostly high, and frequent mountain ranges covered in thick and tall jungles, with a few small oceans. The planet has an extreme gravity of more than 3 times that of Coruscant.

Climate: The T'vian homeworld is very humid and warm averaging 39°C on it's surface. Massive storms of thick clouds often sweep the atmosphere, producing brilliant lightning displays usually only seen in deep space electrical storms.

Flora:  The trees on Tauh can reach up to several kilometers tall and rival those of Kashyyyk. Much of the plant-life gives off an iridescent glow in accordance to light reflected off each individual moon. There are many carnivorous flora types that inhabit the tall trees and floor of the Tauh jungles.

Fauna: Wildlife on Tauh mostly consists of monolithic sized creatures that roam the jungles of Tauh. Even many insect species get to over 2 meters in length. The great Arak in one such beast that lurks in the T'vian jungle. There are stories of Arak so old and large they grow to the size of a mountain them-self.

Biology and the Force: One of the unique things about the T'vian homeworld is a potent force-sensitive chemical that inhabits the entire planet. The primary theory is that the chemical evolved from the distinct radiation that is reflected off the planet's moons and into Tauh's atmosphere. Though, there has not been anything conclusive found and it is unavoidably ingested and respirated. This leads to the Force Nexus that encompasses Tauh. All creatures and the T'vian are force-sensitive to a degree. Though it is generally believed that the T'vian have naturally always had a connection to the force. The chemical itself does not contain Force energies, but reacts and becomes active when a Force current is drawn through it. One of the most notable characteristics given off by this exothermic reaction is light and heat.

Effects of the Force-sensitive chemical on T'vain: Due to the chemical being ingested and inhaled, T'vian share many of the same traits that most species vary with. While T'vian do actually retain different hair colors genetically, due to the Force Nexus surrounding their homeworld their hair remains a pure white sheen. It is noted that Scott's and Kira's hair was not white when they were not drawing on the Force while out and about in the known galaxy. This is a similar effect with a T'vian's eyes. When interacting with a Force current they glow a light blue color. T'vian also use the Force-sensitive chemical to tattoo clan markings on themselves, giving the distinct white-blue glow when interacting with the Force. White hair, glowing clan tattoos and eyes, on top of deep tan skin, and canine-like fangs are sure markers of a T'vian.

Outwardly T'vian look like a near-human race. But they are very different biologically like many humanoid races. The average T'vian male adult grows up to 2.4 meters in height and can weighs 160 kg or more, making them much larger than most near-human races. Female T'vian adults on the other hand only average at about 1.8 meters and weigh around 80 kg. Compared to their outward appearance in mass they weigh a lot more than they look. This is due to their dense skeletal and muscular systems. T'vian bone is mad up of a dense and hard, crystalline lattice, structure making it very hard while supporting their posture on their high g homeworld. In place of an adrenaline system T'vian have a secondary nervous system that kicks in on fight/flight mode, giving all of their senses more focus. A T'vian's cardiovascular system is most like other species except for the fact that have a six chambered heart that serves their high metabolism. The average T'vian consumes 4 times that which a human does in one sitting. Other than displaying the effects of the force-sensitive chemical a T'vian's eyes have special node clusters that see beyond that of the "visible" EM spectrum, allowing them to adjust their eyes along the EM spectrum to a small degree. The alighnment of the nodes and rods within a T'vian's eyes allows them to see at distances and in near complete darkness with great detail. As the T'vian are a warrior/hunter society they have developed keen senses both in and outside of the Force. Lastly T'vian have a very lengthy lifespan that averages at around 1000 years. It is noted their lifespan is averaged at only half that when living outside of their homeworld. This indicates a degree to which the Force-sensitive chemical appears to have rejuvinatious properties. Due to low fertility T'vians do not have offspring often, keeping them from overpopulating their homeworld. Hence they have never had the need to expand their space beyond the nebula or from their homeworld.

Upon further study during the Great Galactic War between the Republic and Sith Empire, more information on this race has become available. It is noted that T'vian saliva have a numbing agent in their saliva. This was majorly used for hunting and sparring wounds on the T'vian homeworld before the war. T'vian's also seem to hold a very strong sense of smell... to the point they are able to distinguish individuals. This was another trait that served their hunting instincts, making T'vian excellent trackers. Unlike most Force-sensitives in the galaxy T'vian build up force energies close to their skin before exerting them for a given task, instead of directly exerting energy such as a Force Push or Force Lightning. As a result T'vian do not like to encumber their skin with many clothing or armor.

Clothing and Armor: T'vian clothing is that of an exotic race. With the hot and humid climate of Tauh it is no wonder they have adopted a "less than clad" attire from core world standards. T'vian also uphold a strong belief that clothing and armor can become restrictive in combat. As such they often do not wear armor or clothing around their mid section, head, arms, or feet. Relaxed garbs on Tauh seem to be mainly white in color. Armor and the more "royalty" colors of the T'vian are whites, reds, and golds. In T'vian culture armor is generally worn on one shoulder, arm, and legs... leaving the clan tattooed side open and view-able as a display.

Society, Government, and Culture: The T'vian live within a clan based society lead by an overall council. Detailed clan markings are given to children at a very young age by skilled clansmen. There are 6 primary clans with several hundred sub-clans within each caste. The Council consists of 7 members total. A member from primary clan and one head council member from one of the primary councils. The head council member is derived as one of the strongest or wisest T'vian out of all the clans. In many cases this is determined in combat by either wits or strength. Traits that are highly prized within T'vian society. When a head council member dies another member from their clan replaces the seat unless challenged. This usually brings about the most intelligent, and strongest warriors to the council seats. Even though T'vian retain a very primal system of government and society they do not often war among themselves. And, despite this primal system, the T'vian are actually very advanced technologically. Though, T'vian prefer to keep technology hidden around it's cities, it is everywhere. The T'vian have had FTL capabilities since long before the Republic was even formed, but have remained secluded within the non-traverse-able nebulae of the Unknown Regions. During the era of the two Great Galactic wars the T'vian numbered in at roughly 50 million before the Sith Empire invaded their homeworld. After the Second Great Galactic war only approximately half of the T'vian population remained.

Language: The T'vian language contains many shorter syllable style words. This gives an unavoidable thick accent to even practiced T'vian in galactic Basic. The most prominent to the known galaxy are the curse words Kira and Scott frequently uttered.

Military: The T'vian military retains one of the most formidable fleets and warriors in the entire galaxy. Their ships of all class share a similar long and sleek design. It is noted that T'vian canon fire has a deep blue hue mixed with brilliant purple, making T'vian craft stand out in battle. As well as an extensive fleet for one world, the T'vian are all bred as warriors and are tested in combat from birth. Due to their inherent connection to the force T'vian warriors rival that of the Jedi and Sith Masters in terms of combat and warfare. Though the T'vian can contest the military might of galactic governments within their nebulae, they lack the accumulative experience much of the known galaxy has. This puts them at a disadvantage outside of their nebula and against many modern tactics. However T'vian are very adaptive to combat and immediate situations. Needless to say that when the T'vian joined the Republic in the Second Great Galactic War, they learned very quickly how to become effective.

Edit: Well there's a lot more I need to add to this... for it to be even a short description. I've left out a lot of things like language, beliefs, lore, history, etc. I'll get to it sometime in the future.

If you took the time to read THANK YOU! I have put a lot of thought and time into my OCs, and I love telling other RPers about them. If you have OCs feel free to share them with me as well! I love getting into creative discussions with folks over such things.
